June 6, 2011: 2011-2012 Budget Ordinance Approved

Yes, I voted No the first time. Recorded below at 6/4/’11 Budget Approved – Reckoning Day!

Obviously, I was surprised and not at all pleased with the unexpected change of our budget process. That vote was more about letting off steam than it was about budget! …and I try hard not to do that!

The facts are that the Board majority can change the process anytime they choose to and they did…and I don’t have to like it.

The Manager and his staff did an excellent job of preparing and presenting the budget as the Board majority had directed. We still have the Budget Amendment process and any Commissioner can bring any budget item back to the table for discussion.
